Our impact on entrepreneurship education

The entrepreneurship core

The entrepreneurship core

Last weekend, Finnish entrepreneurship societies held a delegation at Oppi Learning Festival. LUTES, ArcadaES, and HankenES represented all the Finnish entrepreneurship societies at Finlandia Hall. Before the event, we had prepared some words to be shared with people who influence education all over the globe.

International guest speakers included the Finnish Minister of Education Krista Kiuru, and Rovio’s Mighty Eagle Peter Vesterbacka, who gave us an idea of what to expect at the venue.

The opening words given by Australian Simon Breakspear (@SimonBreakspear) were very inspirational. Simon, who is a founder of LearnLabs, really encouraged the audience to think about how education should be more interactive and inspiring. The venue consisted of several small stages where there were workshops and interactive presentations on education. In the hallways, educational startups had their booths to present how they can make it easier or more fun to learn everything from music to math.

From our point of view, the best part of the event was personally meeting the Mighty Eagle himself. We enjoyed sharing our thoughts about ES communities and getting feedback about what we do.
